Out of School Sessions

Sessions for those children who are out of school (Home Ed children also welcome)

Over the last few years, I have worked with an increasing number of children who cannot attend school. Maybe because of anxiety, maybe because of unmet SEND needs and maybe because they are in the wrong setting. Some of these children are potentially still on roll at a school but cannot attend.

These sessions are specifically for children who cannot attend school (and I know some children are home educated for these reasons). These sessions are slightly different in format to my other sessions. For those who need movement, there will be movement, for those who need to do multiple different Mathematical activities it will be an option. For those who cannot put pen to paper there will be other options. Of course, for those who want to sit and learn, that will also be an option. These sessions will be very relaxed, with the emphasis of building trust with myself and helping them to develop their Mathematical skills.

Aims for sessions may be very different for each child. If at the end of the session, child A participated in the session fully and understood how to answer division sessions that is amazing. But also, if child B managed to enter the room and play a Maths game with me, that is just as amazing. I will meet your child where they are currently, both emotionally and academically.

If parents need to stay for the first session, they are welcome. I want to help children to build belief in themselves, to build confidence and if I can also help to create a love of Maths too then that would be great.

As with all my sessions, I accept all abilities and as long as your child is happy with other children in the room learning with/around them, they are welcome to attend.

Sessions will be on Thursdays and Fridays to begin with.

These sessions will be paid monthly in advance rather than termly in advance and will be approximately £65.70 a month. Sessions will follow my normal term dates.
