Hello, my name is Jillian and I moved to Farnham in 2012. I live in Farnham with my husband and two sons.

I am an enthusiastic professional teacher who is looking to help and encourage children to develop a greater understanding of Maths. I believe it is important to ensure your child has the solid foundations needed to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the whole subject. My lessons are both educational and interesting, as I believe no-one can learn if they’re not enjoying what they’re doing. Although, I am aware that there are times when fun is not appropriate and learning must be serious in order for results to be achieved.

I have worked in both independent and state schools and have seen both good and not so good teaching. I currently teach part time in a variety of schools on a day to day basis, working with children in Reception up to Year 6. I spend the rest of the week with my sons, enjoying watching them grow and develop.

I have experience tutoring pupils from Pre School age right up to Year 11, which includes 11+ preparation. I have also worked with Sixth form students retaking their GCSE exams.
